GURU DVD and Book set
GURU has been a name most match anglers have come to know over the last 9 months since its release. The innovative products born from the minds of Alex Bones and Steve Ringer have taken match fishing to a new level and made fishing the method and pellet feeders even easier than ever before.
They have also taken some of the most popular Korda products and adapted them to be used in the match Carp world.
These Guru products have sold quite well in bursts since its release, but haven’t really taken off as many would have thought. Now though Guru have released a DVD and booklet set which feature Alex and Steve using the products and showing anglers how to get the best from the range.

I have just watched the DVDs and have to say I thought they were top quality both in terms of information given and quality of the filming and presentation from the two anglers.
Both Alex and Steve are very comfortable in front of the camera and have a wealth of experience making films and being on live TV, and this was obvious throughout the films as they gave clear and easy to follow advice through out the films. They questioned each other on methods, tactics, baits and setups and explained in detail how they go about all these and it was easy to watch and follow what they were doing. The camera work was first class and included some shots of how the feeders reacted under water and how the bait was released.

Steve demonstrated how he sets up and fishes the 'Method feeder and 'Baggin waggler' while Alex questioned him about all aspects of these methods, then it was Steve's turn to ask Alex how he fishes the 'PVA bag' and 'Pellet feeder methods.
The lads go into great detail in explaining how to tie the hooklengths and even how long a hair to use. They tell you the best baits to use and how to prepare them and nothing is left unanswered really.
They both catch plenty of fish, with the filming taking place at, Packington Somers, Clattercote res and Manor farm.

The 2 DVDs run for almost 2 hours and are very well filmed and presented.
The booklet that is included is of real good quality with photo's of all the set ups used in the films. I found this a real bonus as I am always interested in how the best anglers set up to fish the methods they have mastered, and once you have watched the films , rather than have to watch them again to see something you may have missed, you can look in the booklet and find all the set up information and other snippets of info you need.

This DVD and booklet set is of top quality and well worth the £19.99 retail price.
You can't fail to pick up some great tips and I for one feel more confident knowing I am using the same set up that Steve and Alex use when I go out and fish these types of methods.
It also gives a good insight in to the range of GURU products and allows you to get the most from them.

I own and have watched pretty much all the match fishing DVD's that are available and I have to say that the quality of the filming and the overall picture quality is the best I have seen, and can be described as of’ TV quality’. Steve and Alex are very good at presenting and you do feel like you are being coached by them. The booklet is also of top quality and a very good reference guide to all the top tips given in the DVD's.
This set is an excellent production and I think will set the bench mark for future DVD's, as even the packaging is top quality and the best I have seen from an angling DVD. Top marks to the team behind GURU!
